Sino U.S game to boost titanium dioxide exports

According to customs data, the export volume of titanium dioxide from January to September of this year was about 710,000 tons, an increase of about 18% year on year. Last year, the total annual export volume of titanium dioxide in China was 830,000 tons. That is to say, in the next three months, the average monthly export volume of titanium dioxide in China will exceed 40,000 tons, which will set a new record of export volume. The average monthly export volume of titanium dioxide from January to September this year is over 70,000 tons. Although the recent export market of titanium dioxide has fallen slightly, it is not a problem to maintain the export volume of 40,000 tons per month.

It is expected that the total export volume of titanium dioxide in China will be between 900,000 and 950,000 tons this year, an increase of about 10% over last year. It can be seen from this that although the international trade environment has deteriorated this year, the export of titanium dioxide in China has maintained a good upward trend. Among them, Asian countries and emerging economies still showed relatively good growth momentum. Influenced by the tariff increase policy, exports to the United States also showed a significant growth trend in the first nine months of this year, mainly due to the need for American customers to stock up as much as possible before the tariff lands for future needs.

Since the Sino-US tariff war, the RMB has been depreciated from 6.5 to 6.95%, with a devaluation of 12%. At present, it has hedged the 10% tariff imposed by the United States. In order to cope with the 25% tariff that will fall on January 1 th of next year, all export enterprises are trying their best to stock up in November, which is also an important driving force for export innovation.

When will the tariff war cease? From the speech made by Vice President Burns at APEC Leadership Meeting, we can see that in the short terms, there will be no solution to the various areas required, including territorial issues in the South China Sea and human rights ideology. Relevant personages analysis, touching the root of this tariff war is RMB oil settlement, challenging the status of the USD is fundamental. As an independent country, China needs RMB status, but referring to the trade war between Japan and the United States, it can be seen that the United States, as the only superpower in the world today, has an unshakable economic and military force. China also needs to carry forward the concept of "Hide one's capacities and bide one's time" of the older generation of leaders, so that it can not follow the path of Japan's fall.

The sword of Damo has been hanging over our heads. If the 25% tariff is really landed in 1th of Jan. , it is bound to be a disaster for exports. The World Bank has predicted that China's economy will grow at 6% next year. For titanium dioxide enterprises, the short-term export growth will also end. According to titanium dioxide industry sources, the company has considered delaying the construction of titanium dioxide projects. Although the Chinese government began to require financial drip irrigation for private enterprises, it is not known whether a large number of bank loans will blow up the expansion of titanium dioxide projects and bring about new overcapacity.

The economic uncertainty brought by the great power game is bringing a test to the development of enterprises.
