Apr.21,2017      Source:Ruidow

Keywords:Rare Earth

The rare earth market kept strong this week, praseodymium and neodymium product price continued to rise, the market supply was tight.

For light rare earths, lanthanum oxide price was steady, with mainstream price of RMB 14,000 -15,000 / t; cerium oxide was RMB 12,000 -13,000 / t; praseodymium oxide was RMB 360,000 -370,000 /t. The stockpiling of downstream ceramic enterprises were limited due to financial constraints. The separated praseodymium oxide and neodymium oxide products in the separation plants were not too much, therefore, the supply was relatively tight.

Neodymium oxide was RMB 280,000 – 285,000 /t, a small batch of the products have reached RMB 288,000 /t; the neodymium metal price was RMB 360,000 -365,000 / t; praseodymium neodymium oxide price was RMB 285,000 -288,000 / t, of which, the oxide with Pr20/Nd80 has reached RMB 285,000 /t, and the oxide with Pr25/Nd75 was impossible below RMB 285,000/t; Praseodymium neodymium metal was RMB 367,000 -370,000 /t; europium oxide was RMB 480,000 -520,000/t.

For heavy rare earths, gadolinium oxide was RMB 75,000 -75,000 /t; terbium oxide was RMB 3,300,000 -3,400,000 /t, the transaction price was RMB 3,350,000 /t; dysprosium oxide was RMB 1,200,000 – 1,220,000 /t, it was difficult to be purchased below RMB 1,200,000 /t; dysprosium iron was RMB 1,230,000 – 1,250,000 /t, holmium oxide was RMB 175,000 -185,000/t, lutecium oxide was RMB 5,000,000 -5,200,000 /t, increased RMB 200,000 /t; yttrium oxide was RMB 20,000 -22,000 /t.

Most market participants were optimistic in the market outlook in the first half year of 2017, the current market supply was tight, the rare earths price had no downward basis. Large rare earth production enterprises had strong willingness to maintain the rare earth prices, the market funds were waiting for admission opportunities, the rare earth prices will continue to rise steadily in the short term.
